SO. AWESOME place. It's called Goldfield, and its a ghost town/abandoned mining/gold camp. VERY Old West. We saw a loud gunfight in the streets, in which a woman saves the day =), tasted cactus candy, and ate a delicious meal of hot dogs/burgers and potato chips. It was simply an awesome place. Definetley a day I will never forget... After Goldfield, we drove up into nowhere, it seemed, past unbelieveble cacti and desert landscape. We got out of the car and hiked along a desert trail for a while, until we got hot and thirsty, and then we drove to Old Scottdale, where we shopped in some cute little western stores and rode the trolley cars. The trolleys are very neat and they are free! But they were really hot , because apparently they only air condition in "Summer". Not to mention that when mom asked for a juice jug at a store, the woman said "I'm sorry? That's a summer item." PEOPLE, DO YOU NOT REALIZE IT'S 30 DEGREES HERE?!?!?!?!
Okay. Now that I'm done whining about the heat, I must say I feel sorry for you guys...Glad to hear its warming up. Below are some pictures (YES!!!) of our cool day!!!
